MaKami College was founded by a family of first-generation Canadians who deeply understood the importance of support networks, opportunity, and second chances. From that lived experience grew a publicly funded, not-for-profit independent academic institution serving students across Alberta with campuses in Calgary and Edmonton.

At its core, MaKami College believes that helping individuals succeed strengthens entire communities, opening doors for those who may not have otherwise had access to post-secondary education. This belief shapes the College’s mission: to remove physical, mental, and socio-economic barriers that prevent students from entering or completing their programs.

The College’s vision is to create a positive, supportive learning environment where the transforming power of education can take root. This vision is lived out every day through high-quality instruction, hands-on training, real-world work experience, and personalized one-on-one support.
