The Richard R. Singleton Scholarship provides financial support to students who demonstrate meaningful community involvement and academic commitment within the Applied Politics and Public Affairs program.
About the Scholarship
The Richard R. Singleton Scholarship is open to all students enrolled in the Applied Politics and Public Affairs program. It is established in memory of Linda A. Singleton, former Assistant Deputy Minister of Public Affairs in the Ralph Klein Conservative Government of Alberta.
Linda's exemplary career included many years in Public Affairs with Husky Oil and Transalta. Richard (Ric) and Linda volunteered for many years in the Provincial Conservative constituencies and the Federal Conservative constituencies.
The scholarship's recipients will have demonstrated MaKami College's values of leadership, innovation and community service, and reflect a focused work ethic, having achieved a high level of academic standing.
Eligibility
The scholarship is open to Canadian citizens, at least 18 years of age. Applicants must have successfully completed their first year of studies with a minimum cumulative average of 80%, demonstrate financial need, and show active participation in their communities through volunteer service.
Applicable Programs
Applicants must be enrolled in and actively attending the Applied Politics and Public Affairs diploma program.
